Yes, Google has changed the SEO game with it's Panda algorithm. A large number of SEO experts think of the new Google policies and practices as a penalization system. After some research, all we could conclude is that Google now penalizes the so-called lazy SEO, which is definitely a huge positive, since websites who have deserved they're ratings with good SEO or no SEO now have much more space on the first pages of the popular search engine. • Avoid auto-spinned gibberish - If you can't understand what written in your post, neither can Google.

What did Google Penguin change for the SEO industry?

On 24th of April, Google changed the rules of the game (again) launching the new 'Penguin' algorithm. Matt Cutts, the head of the Google's Webspam Team stated that Penguin is "meant to penalise over-optimisation, but was actually designed for the elimination of webspam, in correlation with the Webmaster Guidelines of Google".

Either way, a lot of the website owners have experienced their websites ratings plummeting on Google, being moved from the top positions on the first page to the 5th, 10th or even 20th page of the most popular search engine. So what exactly changed and how does it affect you?

1. Google penalizes cheap content farming
    In the post-Penguin world, contracting cheap SEO 'experts' to create a mass of backlinks will not improve your rating. On the contrary, you will be penalized and your   website will be demoted in the rankings.

2. On-site Search Engine Optimization is now more improtant
    Work on your content. The more real, relevant content, and less auto-spun gibberish you have on the site, the better your rankings will be.

3. Backlinks still work, but must be carefully chosen and placed
    Build link pyramids and create backlinks only from well ranked and respectable websites.
